Proper diet starts with increasing your plant-based foods and legumes as well as decreasing your red meats and dairy. It is important to add color to your plate with fruits and vegetables; the more color, the more variety in vitamins and antioxidants you are consuming. Remember that with plant-based foods, the less preparation usually yields a healthier product.
